In 2009, after she first met with the studio « La Source », Joan Project is been proposed to record her songs. It was through this partnership that her first album entitled “Hard to Breathe” was shaped and released in 2011. Pop-rock album, mixed of heady tunes and extreme gloom.

To launch her opus, Joan served as an opening act for Tina Arena, the bishops, Archimède among others. TV shows (Mcsp, le Mag de Magloire, le Blabla de Wilson…) and radio broadcasts (Rcfm,
One School Radio, Agora Fm…). She also performed live at the Bellevilloise and Divan du Monde.

In 2016 Joan released a new Ep “Something Happened” Where she shows the singularity of her music sound. This album is still colored with her landmark melodies and melancholy although pop vibes were been mixed that time with alternative and electro music.

Influenced originally by groups like Radiohead and other 90’s flagship bands, she embraces new inspirations coming close to artists such as Dj’L with whom she shares 2 singles in the Ep. The coloration of her music is becoming shaded towards new moods
and deeper musicality.

Now, Joan Project is a subtle blend of captivating melodies like « Aaron » and of voicing flood like “ Missy Higgins ».
